I joined UK & Ireland Life in 1999 as a Senior Claims Assessor having worked in the life and health market for 15 years as an underwriting and claims technician and as a manager. After nearly 10 years at UK & Ireland Life managing Life, Disability, Health and Long Term Care claims, client visiting, training and auditing, and managing process improvement projects I took the opportunity of initially leading our Treaty Management team in 2008. |

Shortly after I also assumed additional responsibility as Head of Treaty Operations which included our Technical Accounting and Data Services
teams. I relished the opportunity to provide consistent leadership across three key functional departments whilst also continuing to ensure we maintained appropriate accounting arrangements and were delivered quality client cession data.
In September 2010 I accepted the challenge to lead Operations as a whole, which includes Underwriting, Claims, Technical Accounting, Data Services, Legal and Treaty Documentation. I am accountable for providing credible leadership across a range of functionally diverse departments, ensuring delivery of efficient service to our clients both externally and internally. I get a real sense of satisfaction embedding a culture where my teams are empowered, strive to improve our clients and our own processes and thrive in maximising the impact of the provision of their services.
